Core Return Policy

What is a Core?

Automotive parts that can be recycled or remanufactured for future sale are essentially considered a “core.” These parts have an associated core price that is used as a partial deposit of that part and is intended to encourage the return of the old part.

Core Conditions

We encourage all of our customers to return their cores as soon as possible, but we have a 10-business-day policy to return for a full refund on the core fee.

Maintaining a balanced supply of cores helps us keep our core charge amounts as modest as possible. Upon receipt of a core, each unit will be inspected to ensure that they meet our eligibility requirements.

An acceptable core must meet the following criteria for full refund eligibility:

  • ECM’s must be complete with no broken, missing, or severely damaged parts or pieces.
  • ECM circuit boards must not be burned or contain any amounts of moisture internally.

Core Refunds

Once a core is received and inspected, the customer will be contacted via phone to be notified of its condition.

If the core is acceptable, a refund will be processed to the original payment method used in the original transaction, or by check if requested otherwise.

If the core is unacceptable, we may be able to offer partial credit depending on the part and the severity of the damage. Optionally, if customers would like to keep their unaccepted cores then they will be responsible for return shipping.

Have Cores to Sell?

We are always open to offers for ECM cores. Our prices for cores will vary depending on supply, demand, and other economical factors.
